VISITATION:              Monday, July 4, 2011
                                    Jones & Son Funeral Home--Moselle
                                    5:00-9:00 p.m.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at Jones & Son Funeral Home in Moselle for Mr. Sam Carroll Fletcher, 67, of Seminary who passed away July 2, 2011 at Wesley Medical Center.  Bro. David Moore and Alfred Jordan will officiate at the services.  Visitation will be Monday, July 4, 2011, at Jones & Son Funeral Home in Moselle from 5:00-9:00 p.m.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie McGillberry, Marvin Overstreet, Steve Russell, Donnie Scarbrough, Shelby Shoemaker, Danny Wade and Alt. Kelly Pugh.

Mr. Fletecher is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lucy Fletcher of Seminary; daughter, Lisa (Robert) Sanders of Moselle; son, Wayne (Angie) Fletcher of Laurel; brother, Henry Fletcher of Quitman, sister-in-law Sally Fletcher of Seminary. He is also survived by his grandchildern, Matthew Sanders, Will Sanders, Kate Fletcher and Samuel Fletcher.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry James Fletcher and Eva Lattice Tanner Fletcher; and brother, Dan Fletcher.

Mr. Fletcher was a  retired veteran firefighter of the City of Laurel, having served 25 years.  He was a volunteer fireman with SJVFD  for 12 years and Fire Chief of Ellisville for 5 years.  During this time he was also the owner and operator of Sam Fletcher's Body Shop.  He was a member of the Covington County Gideon's Camp and was a deacon at Magnolia Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Sanford.
